Am I a Good Candidate for Drastic Weight Loss Treatment?

March 6, 2017 by

Drastic weight loss treatment

Obesity is an extremely common health problem, and it can lead to a host of other, more serious problems, such as heart disease or diabetes. As far too many people have discovered, losing excess weight is not easy. Don’t give up hope just yet. Drastic weight loss treatment at Innovative Medicine may be able to help.

When is Someone Overweight?

Doctors often use waist size and/or the body mass index (BMI) to determine if someone is overweight. As a rule of thumb, a woman should not have a waist circumference any greater than 35 inches, and a man’s waist should not be any more than 40 inches.

A BMI is calculated from the patient’s height and weight. Ideally, the BMI should be between 18.5 and 24.9. Anything below 18.5 is underweight, while anything above 24.9 is overweight. A BMI that is 30 or over is considered obese. A BMI of 40 or above is considered morbidly obese.

Who is a Candidate for Drastic Weight Loss Treatment?

Drastic weight loss treatment at our office involves any of several different treatments and techniques intended to facilitate losing a lot of weight. These techniques may include a low carb diet, the use of hCG injections and/or our Innovative Protein program, among other things. The tools and techniques that will be used in your case will ultimately depend on your unique situation.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach with our drastic weight loss treatment, we customize our programs for the individual. This helps to ensure that the treatment is tailored for each patient’s wants and needs.

There are certain medications and supplements that may help people during drastic weight loss treatment at our office. They are typically given to people who have been unable to lose weight through the use of diet and exercise alone. The patient should, however, continue their diet and exercise regimen while taking the medication.
