Innovative Medicine has treated patients across Tippecanoe County for years, and most of them arrive the same way: tired, heavier, sleeping badly, thinking through fog, and holding a lab report they were told was fine.

Sometimes the right test was never run. Sometimes the number sat at the very bottom of a reference range that spans every adult in the state. Either way, nobody looked further.

Functional medicine is not a different set of drugs. It is a different order of operations: measure first, then treat what the measurements actually show.

    1. A long first visit

    We take a full history — symptoms, timeline, diet, sleep, stress, medications, family history. Most patients have never been asked these questions in one sitting. This is where the pattern usually shows up.

    2. Testing that goes past the standard panel

    A normal thyroid panel is often just TSH. A normal hormone panel is often nothing at all. We test the full picture — thyroid antibodies, free hormones, nutrient status, inflammatory and metabolic markers — so the treatment plan has something real underneath it.

    3. A plan you understand

    You get your results explained, not filed. What is out of range, what it means, what we are going to do about it, and what should change and by when.

    4. Re-test and adjust

    We re-measure. If the numbers moved and you feel better, we hold. If they did not, we change the plan. Treating on symptoms alone is how people end up on therapy they do not need.

Common questions

Do you take insurance?
Call the office at (765) 471-1100 before your first visit and we will tell you exactly what your plan covers here and what it does not. Laboratory work is frequently covered even when the consultation is not.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can call and book directly.
How is this different from my primary care doctor?
Your primary care physician has fifteen minutes and a screening panel. We take a long first visit and test well past the standard panel — thyroid antibodies, free hormones, nutrient status, metabolic and inflammatory markers. We work alongside your other physicians, not instead of them.
Where are you located?
3554 Promenade Pkwy, Suite H, Lafayette, Indiana 47909. We see patients from across Tippecanoe County, West Lafayette, and the greater Indianapolis area.
What are your hours?
Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
