This is an unusual problem for a male but is extremely common for females.

  • Acute urinary infection- the mainstream way to treat this is with antibiotics. An alternative treatment that may work is high-dose to iodine, SSKI.
  • Chronic recurrent urinary tract infections- the mainstream way to treat this is mainly with intermittent antibiotics. A typical alternative treatment is the use of cranberry juice or D mannose. These two methods work by keeping the main culprit (Escherichia coli) from attaching to the bladder wall. A method we use at our clinic is to improve the general immune system function. The simplest way is by taking immune formula number 2 twice a day. If this does not do it you should add multi-4, two caps twice a day.
