Thermograms versus Mammograms
Here is one patient who wanted to do thermograms instead of mammograms. She did a thermogram and insisted I accept it as valid enough for me to continue Rxing natural hormone therapy.
Here is one patient who wanted to do thermograms instead of mammograms. She did a thermogram and insisted I accept it as valid enough for me to continue Rxing natural hormone therapy.
Even though the thermogram showed no pathology (no cancer), I told her that I wouldn’t accept this as a valid form of cancer screening.
So she acquiesced and had a mammogram done. It showed metastatic breast cancer. That means, a breast cancer that had already spread to other organs.
Subsequently she did a PET scan (positron emission tomography). This more accurately showed to where the cancer had spread.
The lesson here is, thermograms are worthless. Don’t trust your life to them.
